Albizia ASEAN Opportunities Fund

Albizia in 2018

The Opportunities Fund gained 1.0% in December to finish the year down 9.3%. ASEAN currencies were weak against the US dollar for the year, responsible for a third of the Opportunities Fund’s fall, and a quarter of the Tenggara Fund’s negative performance. Currencies have been more stable in the second half however, as central banks in the region have been more proactive. In tough market conditions, the fund's home improvement investments proved as resilient.
